Designed for simplicity and functionality, these LifeStraw water filters are easy to use and maintain, enabling you to quench your thirst without worrying about running out of clean water.
The advanced 2-stage filter utilises an activated carbon filter to protect against chlorine, organic chemical matter, and removes odours for improved taste, whilst the membrane microfilter protects against 99.999999% of bacteria, 99.999% of parasites, 99.999% of microplastics (over 0.2 microns), silt, sand and water cloudiness.
To ensure your water stays cool all day long, these bottles are manufactured from food grade stainless steel and are formed with double walls to provide vacuum insulation. This 530ml version is ideal shorter distances between water sources, or for weight conscious travellers.
Instructions for use: When filling your bottle from a water source please ensure there is as little debris or particulate matter within it as possible as this will affect the effectiveness of your filter. Straining the water through a piece of fine woven cloth first helps to remove the vast majority of matter.
Remove the cap filter from the bottle by fully unscrewing it. Fill the water no further than the Max line inside the bottle. Screw the filter cap back on. To drink the filtered water, unscrew the looped carry handle cover and sip water through the silicon valve. To accelerate the flow, squeeze the valve gently with your teeth.
Lifetime: The membrane microfilter lasts up to 1,000 gallons (4,000 litres) and will stop allowing water to flow through once it’s reached the end of its lifetime. The activated carbon filter lasts up to 26 gallons (100 litres) of water with proper use and maintenance. We recommend replacing this when you notice a change in smell or taste of your water or every 60 or so days with regular use.
Please note: The double wall vacuum insulation keeps your water cool all day. Not intended to keep liquids hot, as heat inside bottle can cause pressure when opening after a few hours. This filter will not work with salt water.
